Meta's ads MCP server is now available for developers

By Sydney Levitan, Sanjay Patel

Today, we are opening up our ads MCP server to any developer with their own Meta app. You can now connect your AI application directly to Meta's advertising capabilities, enabling your users to create and optimize campaigns, pull performance insights, manage product catalogs, and more through natural language. This means any developer can now bring Meta's ads MCP capabilities into the tools their customers already use — whether that's a marketing platform, a data warehouse, or a custom internal system.

Previously, connecting AI agents to Meta ads required writing and maintaining custom integration code. Now, developers can skip that entirely.

How do I connect using my own app?

  1. Go to the developer dashboard and select the app you'd like to use.

  2. Click Use cases in the left navigation, then Add use cases.

  3. In the popup, click Ads and monetization, select Create & manage ads with ads MCP server, and click Save.

  4. OPTIONAL If you manage data on behalf of other businesses (agency or partners), you need to submit your app for review.

    • Request Advanced Access on the ads_mcp_management permission.

      • On the 'Use cases' screen, click Customize for the ads MCP server use case.

      • On the 'Permissions and features' tab, click Actions to get Advanced Access, then click Go to app review.

  5. Choose how to authenticate: OAuth for automatic token handling via Facebook Login for Business, or pass a pre-obtained access token if you manage your own token lifecycle.

How developers are using MCP today

"Marketing is where many enterprises will first see the value of AI agents in a practical way. Together with Meta, Snowflake is making it easier for marketers to connect the first-party data they already manage in Snowflake—such as customer, sales, and product data—with Meta campaign performance. Snowflake and Meta's ads MCP gives AI agents the context they need to identify high-value audiences, optimize campaigns based on business outcomes, and help marketers move from insight to action faster with less friction."

Will Allen, Head of Snowflake CoWork & Agents, Snowflake

"We connected the Meta Ads MCP to Moby, our autonomous AI operator for ecommerce brands, and the impact was immediate. It doesn't just let an agent execute changes in Ads Manager. The MCP gives the agent what it needs to validate those changes, debug issues, and surface anomalies, which is the full spectrum of what it takes to genuinely manage a Meta Ads account."

AJ Orbach, CEO, Triple Whale

"Meta's ads MCP server is a clear signal that marketing is entering the agentic era. Our vision is to empower marketers with Agentforce agents that automate campaign operations, eliminate manual workflows, and act on audience and performance signals in real time. Data 360 provides the trusted first-party data foundation, and Meta's ads MCP server enables Agentforce to turn that data into action—coordinating campaign metadata, audience intelligence, and performance signals to optimize advertising in ways that weren't possible before."

Bradley Wright, VP, Product Management, Salesforce

"Meta's ads MCP turns campaign management into a conversation. In our live test on a 270-ad account, we found every ad in 2.4 seconds, reviewed performance trends in 1.3 seconds and received five specific recommendations in under five seconds. All via chat. Normally that would mean searching through multiple screens in Ads Manager. For media buyers and agencies, Meta's MCP means less manual work and more time making decisions that improve performance. We're looking forward to bringing this capability to admanage.ai users."

Cedric Yarish, Co-Founder, AdManage

Availability & future plans

Any app can now connect to the ads MCP server, and we'll be gradually rolling out access to tools available to ad accounts through this integration method. To get started, simply ask your agent what tools you have access to.
