AirPods Pro 3 take 10 seconds to connect to known device.

I recently upgraded my airpods to the Pro 3s.. (running the current software). These particular airpods take around 10 seconds to connect to a known device (last device used). It always happens the first time it connects a day. I can put them away for a few minutes and the next time it connects immediately.. I typically use them with my Pixel 9 Pro phone, but even the Macbook air and iPad mini have this issue. The OG Airpods and the Pro 2s I upgraded from always connected instantly, even to this same Pixel 9 Pro.

The initial daily 10-second connection delay on your AirPods Pro 3 stems from a deep sleep/low-power state optimization in newer firmware where the H2-powered case and buds take longer to execute their primary Bluetooth handshake with non-Apple or multi-paired host devices.

Try this

Factory Reset the Case: Place the earbuds in the case, close the lid for 30 seconds, then use the modern reset sequence: double-tap the front status light until it flashes white, double-tap again, and double-tap a third time until it flashes amber.

Clear Host Pairing Memory: "Forget" the AirPods Pro 3 on your Pixel 9 Pro, MacBook Air, and iPad Mini, then re-pair them fresh to clear out corrupted multi-device handshake tables.

Firmware Verification: Ensure your AirPods are on the absolute latest firmware by leaving them charging next to an active Apple device (iPhone/iPad) for an hour or two.
