#1 Movie News & Entertainment site on the internet

Covering the full range of movies, TV, comics, reality TV, network TV, books… it’s fair to say that if you’re passionate about it, we are too!

ScreenRant is your watercooler. It’s your movie theater foyer. It’s your comic book shop. It’s that friend with uncontrollable passion - and the knowledge and insight to back it up. We want to discuss the things we’re passionate about in an authoritative, informed, professional way, matching our readers’ excitement for what’s currently happening in the multiverse of entertainment.

Our passion is matched with industry expertise and connections. We’ve broken major stories, been on the set of more major movies than we can count, and we’ve hosted headline-dominating events like Star Wars Celebration’s Mandalorian panel and Marvel’s massive SDCC Hall H panel. We’ve been the first to spot incredible Easter eggs in franchises like Star Wars and Star Trek, and celebrate smaller movies, shows and games that deserve a wider audience. Tom Cruise even broke his silence about his alleged fake butt in Valkyrie.

But don’t take our word for it…

Here’s What People Are Saying About ScreenRant

We cover the biggest pop culture events

    PITCH

Choose three topics from the list below and pitch three features (one pitch per topic) with titles that fit Screen Rant’s tone and style.

    • 9-1-1
    • Abbott Elementary
    • Blue Bloods
    • Chicago One
    • FBI
    • Fire Country
    • Found
    • Ghosts
    • Grey’s Anatomy
    • Law & Order
    • NCIS
    • Night Court
    • The Equalizer
    • Tracker
    • Yellowstone

    Pitching instructions:

    • Pitches must be on a distinct topic relevant to the SR Features team (read articles under the SR Exclusives tab on the homepage for examples).
    • You will need to include a title with your pitch in the SR style and format (again, check the SR Exclusives section for examples).
    • Think: Why is this something SR should publish? Is this an idea that fits with SR’s current approach to content? And is this an idea that is relevant to readers today?
    • Provide an explanation for each pitch in 1-2 sentences, making sure to explain why it will be of interest to our readers. Really sell us on your idea!

    SAMPLE

Select one of your pitches from above and write a sample on it. You must use the tone and style found in the “SR Exclusives” section of the site.

    Sample instructions:

Avoid blogg-y language (SR is about writing with authority)

Avoid fluff/filler writing (the sample is short - everything written should be directly relevant to the chosen topic)

Make your argument or explanation clear and convincing, with evidence

Make sure you’re up-to-date on your chosen topic and everything in the sample is 100% accurate.

Italicize titles of TV shows, films, books, and games

Sample should be 400-600 words in total

Please note this word count is for testing purposes and is not representative of the length of a true feature article.

    INDUSTRY KNOWLEDGE

Look at the list of TV franchises in the Pitch section and indicate which ones you know well enough to adequately cover for Screen Rant. Also list three upcoming network TV series – brand-new shows that will air on ABC, CBS, NBC, and FOX in the 2024-2025 season - that 1) you plan to watch, and 2) can cover for SR.

    NEXT STEPS

A member of our team will reach out to you with next steps once your application package has been reviewed.

Supported file types include .pdf, .txt, .rtf, .doc, .docx
