✨ Last week, we gathered at Célébration Partage-Action to celebrate the power of community giving in action. Together, we announced a record-breaking $1.525 million that will be distributed to more than 40 local community organizations across the West Island. And this wasn't just an announcement—each organization left with the first of its two annual funding cheques in hand. 💙 This remarkable result was made possible by the generosity of our donors, annual partners, private foundations, and event sponsors. Every dollar raised helps local organizations respond to growing needs in food security, housing, mental health, and social inclusion. ---- ✨ La semaine dernière, nous nous sommes réunis lors de la Célébration Partage-Action pour célébrer le pouvoir de la générosité communautaire en action. À la suite de l’exercice terminé le 31 mars 2026, Partage-Action de l’Ouest-de-l’Île est extrêmement fière d’annoncer qu’elle distribuera un montant record de 1,525 million $ à plus de 40 organismes communautaires locaux. Il s’agit du plus important montant jamais distribué par l’organisation, rendu possible grâce à la générosité de notre réseau. Alors que les besoins continuent de croître en matière de sécurité alimentaire, de logement, de santé mentale et de lutte contre l’isolement social, ce montant aidera nos organismes à continuer à offrir des services de première ligne aux personnes les plus vulnérables de notre communauté. 💙 Cette annonce a été dévoilée mardi lors de notre Célébration Partage-Action, tenue au Centre culturel de Pierrefonds grâce au généreux soutien du maire de l'arrondissement Dimitrios (Jim) Beis. Cet événement a réuni organismes, donateurs, partenaires et bénévoles afin de souligner l’impact extraordinaire que nous pouvons avoir lorsque toute une communauté se mobilise. ___ ✨ The results are in. Following the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026, West Island Community Shares is extremely proud to announce a record-breaking distribution of $1.525 million to more then 40 local community organizations. This is the largest amount ever distributed by the organization, made possible through the generosity of our network.
