Video Marketing to Attract Leads

Explore top LinkedIn content from expert professionals.

Summary

Video marketing to attract leads involves creating and sharing engaging videos that showcase your personality, expertise, or solutions to potential customers, turning viewers into genuine prospects. This approach helps build trust, spark real conversations, and personalize outreach in ways that text alone cannot accomplish.

  • Show real value: Demonstrate how your product or service solves specific problems for viewers, whether through a personalized video or a live demo.
  • Create authentic connection: Speak naturally on camera and aim to connect with your audience as if you’re helping a friend, which makes your message memorable and builds trust.
  • Guide next steps: End your videos with clear calls to action, such as inviting viewers to book a call or ask questions, so they know exactly how to engage with you.

139,000 videos sent. One Vidyard award. Zero competitors even close. And I still don't understand why more teams aren't using video. It is truly the most under utilized tool in sales (not just propsecting) My teams at PatientPop sent more one-to-one videos than anyone I know. Not generic marketing videos. Not AI. Personal, one-to-one prospecting and post sale/mid sales cycle videos. 139,000 in 18 months. Vidyard literally gave us an award for it. And here's what kills me: Most sales teams send maybe 10 videos a month. Total. It. f'n works. Execs get 10 cold emails a day. 10 cold calls a day. They get 2-3 videos a month. MAYBE (execs chime in here, how many do you get?) You do the math on where you can stand out. But it's not just about being different. Video lets you control everything: - The tone (enthusiastic, not desperate) - The pace (fast, not rushed) - The humanity (real person, not automation) You become human in 30 seconds. It also lets you show, not just tell. Email: You tell them you noticed something. Video: You show their actual website while explaining what you noticed. Email: You tell them you're excited. Video: They see your energy, your research, your preparation. Email: You tell them about your product. Video: You show them exactly what matters to them. See the difference, ya'll? Here is the exact framework that we used for videos. **K** - Know: "Here's what I know about you..." **P** - Problem: "Here's the problem you're probably facing..." **I** - Impact: "Here's what that problem is costing you..." **C** - Connect: "Here's why I'm reaching out..." **C** - Call to action: "Here's what I'd like you to do..." Under 60 seconds if you've never talked. 90 max. Up to 3 minutes if you've spoken before. A lot of people also overthink video in a big way. We had one key rule. End it and send it. Stumbled? Send it. Dog barked? Send it. Said "um" three times? Send it. No redos. No perfection. No overthinking. The stumble makes you human. The dog makes you real. Perfect videos feel like marketing. Imperfect videos feel like people. One last key tip here. The email/msg has to sell the click. Nobody cares that you sent them a video. They care about what's in it for them. Your subject line, your email, your link text - everything should scream value, not "watch my video." Tell them WHY to watch. What they'll learn. What problem you'll solve. The video isn't the value. What's IN the video is the value. Here's my challenge to you. Pick 5 prospects tomorrow. Send them each a personal video: 1. Show their website/LinkedIn while you talk 2. Use KPICC structure (60 seconds max) 3. End it and send it (no redos) 4. Email sells the click, not the video 5. Follow up with confidence: "Did you see what I put together?" Then call each of them 2-3x the next week & watch your connect rates triple. Because while everyone else is sending bland email templates, you're showing up as a human. And humans buy from humans.

  • I've been sending Loom videos to cold email prospects for 5 years. Here's young me sending a Loom video from my dorm room: Funny thing is, five years later, and I'm still sending these Loom videos non-stop (while also teaching other people how to send them) From my experience, video pitches are one of the best approaches to cold outreach. Since the majority of people won't commit to a call with someone they don't know, a Loom video lets them see what you're offering on their own time. It's low commitment but offers high value. When someone asks for a video, they're actually interested. The format filters for intent automatically. Here's how I structure every video I send: - Pull up their website in the first 5 seconds - Show exactly how your solution applies to their specific situation - Keep it under 3 minutes (2 minutes is ideal) - End with a clear next step (book a call or reply with questions) The timing matters more than people think. I see many people send the video too early. Send the video only after someone replies showing interest, then make it specific to their business. Video also builds trust faster than any email ever could. They see your face, hear your voice, and get a sense of who you are before any call happens. This is why my positive reply rate jumps from 2% to actual booked calls. The video does the heavy lifting of building credibility before you ever get on the phone. When you record it, talk like you're explaining something to a friend rather than pitching to a stranger. The more natural you sound, the better it converts.

I recorded a 2-minute video last week that transformed my client pipeline. No fancy equipment. No production team. Just me speaking authentically to my phone. The results? 5 quality leads within 48 hours. 3 discovery calls. 2 new clients. This wasn't luck. It was a deliberate strategy that anyone can implement. Before I built my community of professionals on LinkedIn... Before I coached thousands on personal branding... I was just posting occasionally, hoping something would strike. The turning point? I stopped hiding behind text and showed my face. That single decision ignited real conversations and transformed my profile from a digital resume into a lead-generating asset. Here's the exact formula I used: 1️⃣ Start with vulnerability, not perfection My opening line: "From student to speaker in 21 months, here's what changed my life." No scripts. No rehearsing. Just the real me. 2️⃣ Deliver tangible value, not self-promotion Instead of listing achievements, I shared actionable insights: • How to optimize your LinkedIn profile • The post structure that consistently gets visibility • Converting followers into actual clients 3️⃣ Speak to ONE person, not an audience I imagined helping a friend over coffee. That conversational energy makes people stop scrolling. 4️⃣ Close with crystal clarity Instead of the vague "let me know your thoughts," I said: "DM me if you want help building your LinkedIn brand." And they did. The power of video for personal branding is undeniable: 🔸 Your voice builds trust faster than text 🔸 Eye contact creates immediate connection 🔸 Body language enhances credibility 🔸 Authenticity makes you memorable A static profile shows what you've done. Video shows who you are. That's what transforms browsers into buyers. Even if you're camera shy, you can start simple: • Define your core message first • Use natural lighting • Choose a clean background • Speak clearly and smile Remember: it's not about perfection. It's about connection. My challenge to you this week: Record a 2-minute video sharing one challenge you overcame, one tip for your audience, and one way to connect with you. The first attempt might feel awkward. That's normal. But that first step opens the first door. #personalbrand #branding #leadgeneration Ready to build a brand that attracts dream clients and generates consistent leads? DM me "linkedinbrent" and I'll show you how to create your first branded video, even if you've never hit record before. I'm Brent. I'm opening 10 spots this month for professionals serious about becoming authorities in their field.

YouTube Growth for Brands & Businesses

If I were the CMO of a Brand and had to launch a YouTube channel tomorrow, here's what I'd do [Full Breakdown] No fluff. No waiting around for a lucky breakout video. And here’s exactly how I’d build it from day one. Step 1: Clarify the Business Outcome I wouldn’t touch content until we’ve locked in the outcome we’re solving for. This is the key before you even start. Having an agenda solves 70% of the problem. → Is this channel meant to generate leads? → Build long-term trust at the top of the funnel? YouTube without a business outcome is noise. Strategy starts here. Step 2: Audit What the Viewer Is Already Searching For Forget what we want to say. I’d map out what our customers are already looking for on YouTube. → What are they typing into search when they’re frustrated, stuck, or actively seeking help? → What’s trending in their niche, but underserved? (Look in the comments on competitors) This gives us our top-of-funnel hooks, the questions people are already asking but aren’t getting real answers to. Step 3: Design the Funnel, Not Just the Videos Here’s where most teams go wrong. They think in uploads. I’d think in journeys. Everything has to be a session starter for the audience. YouTube loves session time, and you need to work on that. I’d build: → Shorts that break patterns and introduce pain. → Talking-head explainers that build context and trust. → Case studies and product demos that convert warm interest into action. → CTAs that aren’t begging for likes, but move people into discovery calls, free tools, or lead magnets. Every video would serve a function. Nothing gets uploaded just to “stay consistent.” Every video needs to have an agenda; nothing goes for the sake of an upload. Step 4: Build the System, Not Just the Calendar One-time hits don’t scale. Systems do. Never get excited about one video but plan a bunch of them way ahead because you never know about unseen circumstances that can break your consistent cycles. I’d build: → A searchable database of evergreen content topics → A visual content map that connects viewer intent with our funnel → A way to repurpose each video into 3-5 LinkedIn or email touchpoints (selling in backend) This becomes a repeatable system, not a content treadmill. Step 5: Build for Binge Behavior Because one video won’t build a relationship. But 3 videos in a row? That’s where the conversion happens. I’d make sure our channel homepage, end screens, pinned comments, and verbal CTAs are designed to increase session time, not just individual video views. Everything needs to be interconnected to build binge behaviour. And here’s the crazy part… Most brands are sitting on a treasure trove of content, including product demos, testimonials, founder insights, and customer education, and they’re letting it languish on Google Drive. If I were the CMO, we’d turn that into a compound growth machine. Because YouTube isn’t just a brand play. It’s a revenue channel if you build it right.

LinkedIn Video Is the New Power Move—And You’re Missing Out If You’re Still Just Posting Text It’s no secret: the way we promote ideas, businesses, and expertise has changed. We’ve moved from blogs to images, and now, video is king. But here’s the real twist—LinkedIn isn’t just following the trend. It’s transforming it. Why? Because video content doesn’t just get clicks—it creates connection. Research shows viewers retain 95% of a message when watching a video, compared to just 10% when reading. That’s not a stat; that’s a wake-up call. Professionals don’t just want to read about solutions—they want to see them in action. While TikTok and Instagram made short-form video the norm, LinkedIn stepped in to offer something better: relevance. It’s not just about dancing trends or food shots. LinkedIn video gives you a platform to explain how business works, why it works that way, and how your audience can take action. Live events, product demos, masterclasses, and thought leadership panels are dominating the feed—and for good reason. Across industries, these formats build trust, showcase credibility, and spark real-time conversations with ideal clients. But here’s where most go wrong: they measure success with vanity metrics. It’s not about views—it’s about conversions. Did they stay? Did they comment? Did they reach out? Did they buy in? The new playbook isn’t just to go live. It’s to go live strategically: Set the agenda. Assign your team roles (host, tech, moderators). Engage before, during, and after. Repurpose everything into a content machine. Then? Track what matters: engagement rates, retention time, sign-ups, lead quality. If you want to stay ahead, don’t just post another quote or blog link. Start turning your knowledge into video. Start showing up where your clients are already looking. And if you’re not sure they’re the right people? Video isn’t optional anymore. It’s the difference between getting seen and getting selected. If you are executing already--tell our Linkies how we can all do it better in the comments.

8 Ways to Use Video in Your Outbound Strategy Most cold emails go unread. Most LinkedIn DMs get ignored. But video? It gets attention. 👇 Here are 8 ways to use video in your strategy: 1️⃣ Cold Emails – Stand Out in the Inbox ⇢ Replace long text with a 30-60 second video ⇢ Mention their name & company in the first 5 seconds ⇢ End with a clear call to action (ex: "I can send a quick demo recording—interested? or "Let me know if a quick walkthrough would help.") 💡 Example: Instead of: "I help companies like yours improve XYZ..." Say: "Hey John, saw your team is hiring. Curious how you're handling [challenge]. Here’s a quick idea..." 📹 Pro Tip: Use Sendspark to effortlessly personalize videos at scale—record once, send to many, and still make it feel 1:1. 2️⃣ LinkedIn DMs – Get More Replies ⇢ Most people send text-heavy DMs—you won’t ⇢ Send a short intro video instead of another sales pitch ⇢ Keep it casual, just like talking face-to-face 💡 Example: "Hey Sarah, saw your post on [topic]. Quick video with a thought—would love to hear your take!" 3️⃣ Follow-Ups – Remind Them Who You Are ⇢ Instead of “just checking in,” add value ⇢ Summarize a previous conversation or highlight an idea ⇢ Show you’re engaged, not just chasing a sale 💡 Example: "Hey Mike, quick update from my end. Here’s a quick 30-second breakdown of how we can help with [challenge]..." 4️⃣ Breaking Through to Cold Prospects ⇢ Hard-to-reach prospects? Try video instead of another email ⇢ Show you’ve done your research (mention something specific about them) ⇢ Use screen recording to personalize your outreach 💡 Example: Send a quick LinkedIn video instead of a generic InMail. "Hey Alex, noticed [something specific about their business]. Curious if this resonates?" 5️⃣ Proposal Reviews – Close Deals Faster ⇢ Walk them through the key points of your proposal in a quick video ⇢ Highlight the ROI and next steps ⇢ Reduces the back-and-forth emails and gets deals moving 💡 Example: "Hey Lisa, here’s a 2-minute breakdown of the proposal—let me know your thoughts!" 6️⃣ Handling Objections – Add a Personal Touch ⇢ If a prospect says "not the right time", send a video response ⇢ Address concerns in a conversational way ⇢ Builds trust faster than another email 💡 Example: "Hey Tom, totally get that timing is a factor. Here’s why teams in your space are looking at this now…" 7️⃣ Re-Engaging Cold Leads ⇢ If a deal goes silent, send a quick video to revive interest ⇢ Remind them of the value without being pushy ⇢ Works better than a generic “just checking in” email 💡 Example: "Hey Sarah, bringing this back into focus. My thought on [value prop]—worth revisiting?" 8️⃣ Thank You & Relationship Building ⇢ After a meeting? Send a quick thank-you video ⇢ Personal touch = stronger relationships ⇢ No pitch, just a way to stay top of mind 💡 Example: "Hey Dave, really enjoyed our chat today. Appreciate your time—looking forward to what’s next!"

    Content & Demand Engine for B2B Companies with high-ACV | 100M+ impressions & $10M+ pipeline | CEO @Triangle

I was invited by LinkedIn to attend B2Believe, and the message was clear: B2B is shifting faster than most teams realise. Creativity, buyer confidence, and human connection are becoming the new growth levers. Here are my 7 core takeaways (share & save this!) 1. Creativity is becoming the language of B2B Creative that grabs and holds attention multiplies leads by 3x. But while 92% say consistent creative matters – only 12% deliver it. 49% B2B decision-makers say they’re more likely to explore a company if its advertising is creative 40% B2B decision-makers say they’d be more likely to consider a purchase if the ad is seen as “creative” 2. Millennials + Gen Z now make up 71% of B2B buyers You need to engage them differently – they respond to: Cultural references; human stories; faces, not logos. 87% of B2B buyers now prefer content from trusted industry influencers over brand-authored content. 3. Buyability: the new model for growth B2B buying is slow because buyers don’t feel safe with 64% of marketers saying decisions now take longer. The top job-to-be-done is: “Can I defend this decision if it goes wrong?” Buyers don’t need more information — they need more confidence. 4. Your network is a marketing asset — not a distribution channel When employees from your target accounts follow your company, you generate 2.4x more leads. And when senior decision-makers at those target accounts are connected to your employees, that jumps to 2.2x more leads. You are more than 20x more likely to be bought when everyone in the Buyer Group knows you on Day One. Build brand, trust & authority with the right people. 5. Video is non-negotiable Jonathon Palmer said it well: Sound, movement, and visual cues trigger far stronger memory formation than static content ever can. It generates 1.4x more engagement, meaning more people stop, watch, and interact. And most importantly: viewers retain 95% of the message when it’s delivered via video. +20% more leads are driven with video Attention is scarce and recall is even scarcer. Video gives you the highest chance of being remembered — and being acted on. 6. Employee content > corporate content B2B is shifting from logos to faces; from corporate statements to human voices. Even when only 3% of employees post regularly, companies drive 20% more leads. So bring your team to the forefront. 7. Brand and demand are no longer separate Everything now all comes down to trust, Tunji Akintokun put it: “In B2B, trust is the ultimate growth metric that closes deals.” The era of “brand OR performance” is finished. Full-funnel integration is now a growth multiplier with always-on brand activity showing +10% conversion lift. In summary: The brands that win in 2025 won’t be the ones who look good in reports — they’ll be the ones who move buyer groups to act. In partnership with LinkedIn for Marketing #Ad

Stop Making Videos No One Watches We all know video is king, but let's be real—most of our content gets scrolled past faster than free food disappears at networking events. The stats don't lie: Videos with visual hooks get 27% higher completion rates and drive 41% more engagement than standard content. That's not just marginal gains—that's the difference between wasted effort and actual results. Try these 5 visual hooks that might look silly but are proven attention-grabbers: ✅The Falling Hook – Real estate agents using falling house keys or price tags saw 34% higher engagement (Coldwell Banker saw inquiries jump after implementing this in listing videos) ✅The Tapping Hook – Financial advisors using finger taps to reveal investment returns captured 29% longer watch time (Fidelity's retirement calculators use this brilliantly) ✅The Color Change Tap – Healthcare providers switching colors when highlighting critical services increased click-through rates by 38% (Mayo Clinic's symptom videos are masterclasses in this) ✅The Appearing Text – Tech companies revealing key stats with pop-up text improved information retention by 43% (Microsoft's product launches leverage this perfectly) ✅The Magic Hook – E-commerce brands using disappearing/reappearing product features saw 52% higher conversion rates (Nike's product reveals are legendary here) Is it sometimes goofy? Yes. Does it work? Absolutely. What visual hook will you try in your next post? #ContentStrategy #VideoMarketing #VisualHooks #LinkedInTips
