Welcome! The Shasta County Clerk and Registrar of Voters office gladly serves the people of Shasta County! After all the elections belong to the people!

The Registrar of Voter and  Elections Department is the primary election service provider and voter registration custodian for over 100,000 voters in Shasta County. The Registrar of Voters administers these duties in a nonpartisan manner. This nonpartisan standard is essential to maintain the integrity of our republic.

To promote public confidence and good will by providing the very highest level of courteous, efficient service. Further, to insure the highest possible degree of integrity of the County’s election process through administration of all federal, state, and local election laws in a uniform, consistent and accessible manner.

The Shasta County Clerk/Elections Office has Two Locations

Early Voting and other election services are available at 1643 Market St., Redding CA 96001. The Market St. location is only used for election activities the 60 days before and 60 days after an election, and for deliveries year-round. We’re located in the Market Street Promenade, next to Damburger.

Clerk Services, such as Marriage Licenses, Fictitious Business Name Statements, and Passport Services have moved out of the Market St. location. Clerk services are now at 1450 Court St., Suite 108 in Redding CA 96001. Clerk services are available at this location year-round, Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm. We’re located in the County Administration Building next to the old and new courthouses.
