Any type of industrial plant/data center that needs water should be on a coast line using salt water doubling as a water desalination plant. Japan does this with nuclear power plants.

There is precedent for this. Saltpeter used to be extracted from urine. Just like a milk man would drop off bottles a milk, a man would go around in the morning to collect bottles of urine. The government would make saltpeter from the urine so they could make gunpowder from the saltpeter.
