So often on this app I see Black/Indigenous people post a thread, that specifically calls for people of their own community to contribute, and white folks (often white women) will STILL comment.
Like YA’LL. Just stfu and keep scrolling… that thread is NOT FOR YOU.
A thread will start with “BLACK WOMEN OF THREADS”, posted by an OP who is, themself, a Black person… and there will inevitably be a white person putting in their 2 cents in the comment section 🙄

I saw a post the other day that started similarly, and there was a comment from a white woman that said “As a white woman may I speak?” And it’s like NO, GIRL. YOU CAN’T. If they wanted the advice of anyone other than Black Women, they wouldn’t have made a point to start their whole post the way they did…
I mean, seriously… can white folks truly not help themselves???

And I’m not perfect… I’m sure I have a comment or two out there somewhere on a POC’s post that specifically called out a target demographic.
Me today is not the same person I was then.
I am constantly working to better myself and learn. And as a white woman, I am learning when my voice is not needed. White folks everywhere should be making this a priority.

And if a POC posts something you, as a white person, don’t agree with (and this could be about literally anything), you can just keep scrolling.
I promise- you won’t die or wither away if you just stfu and keep your opinion to yourself 😅
We take up some much space already… try practicing some self-control and refraining from commenting on a post that’s not for you 👍🏻
Yesterday’s post got a lot more attention than I anticipated (in the best way!!!) and I am once again reminded that I AM SO GAY 😩 😅🩷🩵💜
