Why do most businesses run quoting and contracting on two separate systems? Sales uses CPQ. Legal uses CLM. And somewhere in between, productivity goes to die. Two systems means two logins. Two training tracks. Two disconnected processes. We have seen first-hand it’s inefficient. It's expensive. It's frustrating. Sales gets slowed down. Legal drowns in repeat reviews. Deals stall. Buyers wait. Reps wait. Revenue waits. But what if there were one simple flow? 👉 Imagine this (our) alternative: Sales creates a quote and adds the right legal terms—using pre-approved clauses. All within guardrails. All within a single platform. No extra steps. No switching systems. Approvals happen automatically—only when needed. No redlines? Contract’s ready to sign. Need redlines? Legal steps in, directly inside the platform. Every change tracked. Every version controlled. 👉 DealHub.io is the first CPQ built with CLM at its core. Not tacked on. Not an afterthought. One experience, from quote to contract. Sales, Legal, RevOps—aligned. One workflow. One platform. Zero silos. Quotes and contracts, built together. Clause selection? Controlled but flexible. Approvals? Streamlined. Signatures? Sent through DealRoom, then stored with searchable intelligence. 🎯 Simple. Unified. Done. This is how quoting and contracting should work. We’re redefining how revenue teams can operate, and our AI-Powered CPQ is the catalyst. I invite you to learn more here 👉 https://dealhub.io/ #AIpoweredCPQ #ContractManagement #GTMcatalyst #RevOps

Ethan Kopit and the Quotes team at HubSpot shipped custom-coded quote modules into beta, and it's not a feature release, it's a paradigm shift. For years, the quote was a document pretending to be a web page. Personalization tokens, rich-text edits, brand styling. Useful, but bounded. The ceiling was always whatever HubSpot had pre-built. That ceiling is gone. Custom-coded quote modules (built as HubSpot CMS React modules) give admins full control over how a quote looks, behaves, and performs. You can architect modules that: ➊ Dynamically swap terms and conditions based on the line items on the quote ➋ Embed industry-specific testimonials, ROI calculators, or video walk-throughs directly in the buyer experience ➌ Render line items in formats native to your business model (tiered, configurable, bundled, you name it) ➍ Collect structured information (and file uploads) from buyers before signature ➎ Govern what the quote creator sees, not just what the buyer sees, so internal workflows stay clean And this lands inside a much bigger story. Commerce Hub is no longer just a quoting tool, it's becoming a full revenue operations primitive: ➊ Contracts (public beta) connects quotes, contract terms, and ARR in one native object. Renewals, amendments, co-terming, proration, all inside HubSpot. ➋ AI-powered quote generation drafts cover letters, executive summaries, and scope content from deal context, meetings, and emails. ➌ Smart approval workflows route quotes to the right approver automatically, supersedeing the spreadsheet-and-Slack approval theater most teams still run. ➍ Automated location-based tax calculation, credit memos, locked line item fields, custom quote and line item properties, and line items associated to custom objects. ➎ E-signature delegation so the original recipient can route internally without the rep babysitting the resend. Read together, this is HubSpot architecturally closing the gap with Salesforce CPQ, Conga, and Docusign, while leaving the door open for partners and operators to extend the system at the code level. The implication for HubSpot admins, RevOps leaders, and Solutions Partners: The quote is no longer a deliverable. It's a configurable buyer experience that demonstrably influences close rates, ARR retention, and post-sale governance. Treating it as a PDF substitute is now a competitive disadvantage. Massive credit to Ethan and team for shepherding this from Legacy Quotes in 2020 to what shipped last Thursday, and to the broader Quotes and Commerce Hub team. If you're a HubSpot customer running Commerce Hub Pro or Enterprise, get into this beta. If you're an admin who's been waiting for the moment HubSpot Quotes graduated from document to platform, that moment is now. #HubSpot #CommerceHub #CPQ #AIRops #RevOps #HubSpotPartners #Quotes #AIinSales #BreezeAI #SalesOps

I had a sharp conversation with Alex Huckstepp about Uptool. The core idea is deceptively simple: Manufacturing quoting is broken. And fixing it may be one of the most underrated wedges in industrial AI. Uptool is not another “AI for manufacturing” startup trying to boil the ocean. They are starting with one of the most painful, under-digitized, revenue-critical workflows in manufacturing: Quoting. That may sound narrow. It is not. For small and mid-sized machine shops and fabrication shops, quoting is where capacity, margin, customer responsiveness, tribal knowledge, manufacturability, supplier fit, and business development all collide. A slow quote means lost revenue. A bad quote means destroyed margin. A no-quote means unused capacity stays invisible. And across the long tail of manufacturers, this is still painfully manual. PDFs Drawings 3D files Emails Spreadsheets Old ERP data Estimator judgment “Ask Bob, he knows how we price that.” That is the wedge Uptool is attacking. Its first product uses AI to help shops quote faster, with the company publicly claiming up to 10x faster quoting for high-mix machine and fabrication shops. Uptool came out of stealth in February with $6M in seed funding from Khosla Ventures, Eclipse, Bessemer Venture Partners, and Kleiner Perkins. But the more interesting point is strategic. Quoting is not just an admin workflow. It is the front door to the manufacturing operating system. If you can understand the RFQ, interpret the drawing, extract the key manufacturing constraints, estimate material and process requirements, and help the shop respond quickly, you are not just automating paperwork. You are digitizing how manufacturing capacity gets discovered, priced, and activated. That is what makes Uptool interesting. Not “AI on top of manufacturing.” AI inside the commercial nervous system of the shop. And the timing is right. Hardware companies want faster iteration. OEMs want more resilient supply chains. Governments want reindustrialization. Manufacturers want more revenue without drowning in admin. But none of that scales if the quoting layer stays broken. The long tail of manufacturing does not need another bloated enterprise system. It needs tools that fit the way shops actually work. That is the bet Alex and the Uptool team are making: Small wedge Massive surface area Very real pain This is one to watch. Sales reps can set up pricing structures, discounts, and promotions, ensuring consistency and accuracy in pricing across different quotes. This helps in maximizing revenue and profitability. Quoting Efficiency: With Salesforce CPQ, sales reps can quickly generate professional-looking quotes and proposals. The system pulls in accurate product and pricing information, reducing the time it takes to create quotes manually. This ensures that quotes comply with business rules and pricing policies before being sent to customers. Contract Management: Salesforce CPQ integrates with contract management systems, helping sales reps streamline the contract creation and negotiation process. This ensures that contracts accurately reflect the terms and conditions agreed upon during the sales process. Renewal Management: For businesses with subscription-based models, Salesforce CPQ helps sales reps manage renewals more effectively. It provides visibility into upcoming renewals, allowing reps to proactively engage with customers and negotiate terms for contract extensions. Analytics and Reporting: Salesforce CPQ offers robust analytics and reporting capabilities. Sales reps can track key metrics, such as quote-to-cash cycle time, win rates, and revenue performance. This data enables them to make informed decisions and continually optimize their sales strategies. Your quotes are vanishing into the channel void. Most vendors have no idea what happens after a quote hits the channel. Did it make it through distribution? Did the partner send it to the customer? Did we win/lose/stall? Did we even compete? If you’re relying on channel sales but can’t track a quote end-to-end, you’re not managing a pipeline - you’re gambling. Enter: QRT from iasset.com Quote. Reference. Token. Every quote gets a unique, traceable fingerprint. Now you can track it from the CPQ, through the distributor, into the partner’s hands, and all the way to the end customer. No more black holes. No more “we didn’t know.” No more revenue leaks. This isn’t just tech. It’s visibility where it matters most: 🌎 Real-time quote tracking. 🌍 Actual sales data from the point of sale. 🌏 Cleaner, faster, smarter channel. It’s how you stop flying blind and start running your channel like a revenue engine. If your quote goes into the channel and you can’t track it… Did it even make it through?

If your quoting workflow starts in an inbox, you're already behind. We just published a step-by-step guide on how to build an AI-powered quoting engine — fully embedded in email, Slack, or your app. Not a chatbot. Not a no-code toy. A real system that parses, routes, and improves itself every time your team uses it. Here’s the loop: ✅ Parse quotes + confirmations from email (or voice!) ✅ Extract lanes, rates, accessorials, etc. ✅ Feed it into your pricing engine or TMS ✅ Let reps review + send — with full control Fast. Learnable. Invisible. And yes — it learns from patches and corrections, so the system gets better every time. The full loop works with voice, too: 🎙️ Transcribe customer voice notes 🧠 Run them through your existing pipelines 🗣️ Auto-generate responses with natural language We built the infra so you don’t have to. You define the schema. We do the rest. Full guide in the comments 👇

🎯 Sales Quotations in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) In business, a quotation is often the first formal step toward winning a customer. D365 F&O makes this process structured, traceable, and efficient — ensuring accuracy from the first offer to the final order. 🧠 Meaning A sales quotation is a formal offer to a prospect or customer detailing products, prices, and terms. In D365 F&O, you can create, revise, activate, and convert quotations into sales orders — maintaining full version control and audit history. 👨💼 Role Relevance → Who uses it Sales Team: Creates quotations and converts accepted ones into sales orders. Finance & Pricing Teams: Ensure correct price lists and discount rules apply. Consultants: Configure workflows, templates, and conversion logic to maintain consistency. ⚡ What if Missed? ❌ Inconsistent pricing or terms across customers. ❌ Delays in converting accepted offers to orders. ❌ No audit trail for revisions or rejected quotes. ❌ Missed visibility in sales pipeline. ✨ How to Do It (System Steps) 1️⃣ Go to Sales quotations → All quotations. 2️⃣ Create a new quotation and add customer details, items, and quantities. 3️⃣ Pricing and discounts are applied automatically from trade agreements. 4️⃣ Activate the quotation — it becomes read-only and ready for customer review. 5️⃣ On acceptance, Convert to Sales Order; otherwise mark as Lost or Closed. 6️⃣ Track revisions and conversions for better forecasting. 💡 Business & Consultant Benefits ✅ Speeds up offer creation and approval. ✅ Ensures accurate and consistent pricing. ✅ Provides visibility into quote-to-order conversion. ✅ Consultants can streamline processes with workflows and approval hierarchies. 🤖 Copilot Perspective Suggests quotation templates with pricing and terms. Highlights quotes nearing expiry or awaiting approval. Summarizes quote performance and conversion trends. 🔑 Takeaway Sales quotations in D365 F&O are not just documents — they’re the foundation of the Order-to-Cash cycle, ensuring accuracy, speed, and professionalism in every customer interaction. 🤝 Still learning step by step; this post is from my Dynamics 365 F&O learning notes, not client delivery. I hope it benefits others too. Always open to feedback and guidance. 👉 Follow #Dynamics365 #D365FO #ERP #SalesQuotations #OrderToCash #FinanceAndOperations #FunctionalConsultant #LearningJourney #MicrosoftDynamics

🚀 Fresh Feature Friday — S1 E16: Quoter / ControlMap / Lifecycle Manager 1. Quoter Gets an API Glow Up 2. ControlMap x Lifecycle Manager Integration Launched Quoter just got modernized on both sides of the glass. On the customer side, checkout and acceptance got a full redesign. Clean, branded experience with a clearer path to review, accept, and pay. On the API side, Quoter shipped full quote authoring. Ten new endpoints. Create a draft from a template, add sections and line items, patch individual items, pull the full display payload, and publish a finalized quote. A brand new Contacts resource ships alongside it with full CRUD, so you can find, create, and manage the contacts attached to your quotes programmatically. Proposals go out faster, customers accept with less friction and your team gets time back. 🛒 Modern Checkout - Branded acceptance experience with a clearer path to review, accept, and pay. Builds trust and removes hesitation from the buying flow. 🔧 Quote Authoring API - Create drafts from templates, build sections, add and patch line items, fetch full quote details, and publish. The entire quote lifecycle is now programmable. 👤 Contacts API - Create, list, fetch, and update contacts through the ScalePad public API. Find and retrieve contacts without switching tools. Now here's the second piece, and this one ties two products together in a way partners have been asking for. 🔗 ControlMap Action Items → Lifecycle Manager Initiatives - Compliance action items in ControlMap can now link directly to Initiatives in Lifecycle Manager Pro. When your compliance assessment surfaces remediation work, that work can land on the client's roadmap where it gets budgeted, scheduled, and tracked alongside everything else. Phase 1 surfaces the link inside the Initiative's Exec Summary. Richer, two-way visibility coming very soon, but it's very functional and useful now. Compliance findings that actually make it onto the roadmap instead of sitting in a spreadsheet. That's the integration story we keep building toward. #FreshFeatureFriday #ScalePad #MSP #Quoter #ControlMap #LifecycleManager #ManagedServices #API

📢 SAP Dummies Guide: Mastering the Request for Quotation (RFQ) Process in SAP S/4HANA! 🚀 Ever wondered how to get the best deals from your suppliers in SAP S/4HANA? The Request for Quotation (RFQ) process is your secret weapon! For anyone new to SAP MM or looking to understand how procurement works in S/4HANA using Fiori apps, this one's for you. An RFQ is essentially an invitation sent to suppliers to bid on goods or services. It's how buyers gather competitive pricing and terms before making a purchase. Why is the RFQ Process So Beneficial? Competitive Pricing: Get multiple bids to ensure you're getting the best price. Easy Comparison: SAP S/4HANA Fiori apps make side-by-side price comparison a breeze. Time-Saving: Reduces the manual effort and time needed to evaluate proposals. Supplier Engagement: Easily send RFQs to multiple potential suppliers. The SAP S/4HANA RFQ Process Flow (Fiori Apps in Action!) SAP S/4HANA simplifies this process with intuitive Fiori apps. Here's the core flow: Create the RFQ: Use the "Manage RFQs" Fiori app to define your requirements (items, quantities, delivery dates, payment terms). You can even copy existing RFQs! Key Features: Add general information, delivery/payment terms, line items, and invite specific bidders (suppliers). You can also add notes for suppliers. Publishing: Once ready, "Publish" the RFQ to send it out. (Often, approvals are automated for simplicity!) Receive Supplier Quotations: Suppliers respond to your RFQ with their proposals. In the "Manage RFQs" app, you'll see these under the "Quotations" section. You can then use the system to "Create Quotation" for each supplier's bid, entering their proposed pricing and terms. Compare and Award: This is where the magic happens! Use the "Compare Supplier Quotations" (F2324) Fiori app. This app lets you see all received quotations for an RFQ at a glance. It highlights best-priced items and allows for easy side-by-side comparison. Once you've decided, "Award" the best quotation directly from this app. Create Follow-On Documents: After awarding, you can generate your next procurement document directly! From the "Manage Supplier Quotations" (F1991) app, select the awarded quotation. Choose to "Create Purchase Order" (or other follow-on documents) with reference to that quotation. All relevant data will automatically flow into your new Purchase Order! Track the Process: The "Process Flow" feature in Fiori apps gives you a visual overview of all the steps completed in your procurement journey, from RFQ to Purchase Order. This streamlined, Fiori-driven RFQ process in SAP S/4HANA makes procuring goods and services more efficient and transparent. Say goodbye to manual comparisons and hello to smart sourcing! #SAPMM #SAPS4HANA #Procurement #RFQ #RequestForQuotation #Fiori #SAPForDummies #Purchasing #SupplyChain
