Summary

Virtual coaching practices use digital tools and artificial intelligence to provide skill-building, guidance, and feedback remotely. This approach helps individuals and leaders develop their abilities by offering flexible learning environments and tailored support outside traditional face-to-face coaching.

  • Create safe spaces: Always discuss technology use with clients and maintain privacy to build trust and make participants feel comfortable sharing openly.
  • Offer real-time practice: Set up risk-free, virtual roleplay scenarios and instant feedback sessions so learners can rehearse challenging conversations and refine their skills whenever needed.
  • Track progress visually: Use dashboards and data-driven tools to help clients monitor their growth, recognize patterns, and stay motivated between sessions.

What if learners could practice tough conversations and get a realistic response back from a video? I’m exploring a DIY concept using Colossyan avatars, OpenAI, and n8n to create responsive roleplay scenarios. The idea is a learner watches a video prompt, responds in writing (voice or camera would be ideal but starting here), and then gets a new avatar reply, generated based on their input. It’s a lightweight flow, but the potential is big for soft skills practice. Like, performance reviews, compensation convos, feedback, stakeholder alignment. These moments are high-impact and hard to rehearse in traditional formats. There are tools that do pieces of this. But by building it yourself, you get full control of the experience, from how realistic the responses feel to how feedback is delivered. You’re not limited by someone else’s UX or roadmap. Of course, this isn’t meant to replace coaching or live training. But it could fill the gap between content and real-world practice, especially when time, access, or psychological safety are challenges. Right now, this is just an experiment. Curious to hear, where do you think something like this could work well? #InstructionalDesign #LearningDesign #eLearning #WorkingOutLoud #EdTech #DigitalLearning #AIInLearning

Coaching in the Age of AI: In my recent executive coaching sessions, I've been trying something fairly new (to me): using AI to support with some basic administrative tasks like notetaking and generating summaries for myself and the clients. My intention was simple: to provide clear post-session takeaways and reminders on agreed commitments. For many clients, this has proven helpful and even effective. But today’s session taught me something deeper. When I brought this up with the client, seeking consent and alignment, they shared their hesitation. It wasn’t about rejecting the technology outrightly.  For them, it was about "presence". About "true privacy and confidentiality". According to them, just by the nature of their work, they have to be switched on all the time and quite guarded at that. It's in our coaching sessions that they have felt truly free to just "be"; sharing their gaps and vulnerabilities without worrying about being judged and who else might get access to the contents of our conversation. They reminded me that in a world where everything is observed, analyzed, and recorded, coaching is one of the few places where being fully human is still sacred. This conversation left me deeply reflective. Technology can support us, but only when it’s introduced with care, transparency, and collaboration. Consent must go beyond a checkbox; it must be an ongoing conversation. As coaches, we are stewards of trust, and sometimes, our clients are just not ready for that new "game-changing" innovation. As we explore integrating AI, we must keep returning to this central question: "Does this serve my client’s safety, growth, and freedom to BE?" Let’s continue to embrace innovation, but not at the cost of presence (or the disregard of permission). If you're a practicing coach, I'd like to learn from you: - How are you approaching the integration of AI in your own coaching practice? #CoachingWithAI #ExecutiveCoaching #EthicalTech #PresenceMatters #ClientCenteredCoaching #TrustInCoaching #CoachingInnovation #AIandHumanity #ProfessionalCoaching #CoachingEthics Joan Mugenzi, MCC | Rose Mercy M Sendegeya | Imagine Me Africa Ltd | CDI-Africa Coaching Group | francis egbuson |

Leaders often struggle between coaching sessions. They leave feeling unstoppable, then life happens: → The project goes sideways → The deadline shifts → Work get crazy By the next session, leaders are back at square one. But now things can be different. Here's how AI helps leaders stay on track between coaching sessions: 1️⃣ Real-time feedback when emotions run high: ✓  Meeting analysis shows when team members disengage ✓ Email scans catch tense language before hitting send ✓ Stress pattern alerts prevent burnout decisions 2️⃣ Risk-free practice environments: ✓ Difficult feedback rehearsals with virtual team members ✓ Client conversation simulators with common scenarios ✓ Leadership skill drills that adapt to your weak spots 3️⃣ Instant guidance at decision points: ✓ Pre-meeting strategy tips based on attendee history ✓ Step-by-step conflict resolution tailored to the situation ✓ Quick delegation frameworks matched to team members 4️⃣ Progress tracking that motivates: ✓ Visual dashboards showing leadership growth ✓ Pattern detection reveals when old habits return ✓ Gentle reminders tied to your personal goals 5️⃣ Organization-wide consistency: ✓ Field supervisors get the same quality support as executives ✓ New managers learn faster with guided daily practice ✓ Common leadership language builds across all teams Human coaches bring heart and skills. AI brings quick feedback (on demand). Together? They help leaders do what they know they should. And in AEC, where we love tech skills (more than people skills), this is just what we need. P.S. Had a fun and informative deep dive with our coaching community on using Yoodli as a copilot in live coaching sessions—whether virtual, in-person, 1:1, or group settings. We explored three key ways coaches are integrating Yoodli AI Roleplays to enhance their sessions: 🎤 Live roleplay practice in breakout rooms 👉 Helps participants reinforce learning by immediately applying new skills 👉 Works great for virtual group coaching or in-person workshops 👉 Coaches can set custom roleplay prompts and track progress from before and after workshop 🔄 Instant replays during virtual sessions 👉 Works with Zoom, Google Meet, or Teams 👉 Gives participants real-time feedback on body language, word choice, and pacing 👉 Helps coaches guide discussions with objective insights, rather than just gut feel 📱 Recording & reviewing in-person sessions 👉 Perfect for conference prep, media training, or sales coaching 👉 Provides data-driven feedback while keeping the human touch of live coaching 👉 Participants can review their sessions afterward for continued improvement One of favorite moments is when Diane Windingland walked us through her workflow, and it was seamless (and awesome to see! It felt like the Yoodli team didn’t need to be there! It was a great reminder to me of how much we can learn from each other. 💡 Getting started is easy—coaches can sign in, set up roleplays, and integrate Yoodli into their sessions within minutes. More resources to come! Grateful for this community of coaches who openly share their experiences and help one another grow. Please reach out if you’d like to learn more.
