Last week, I felt like 24 hours weren’t enough — there was just too much to do. But instead of trying to cram everything in, I asked myself: What if the problem isn’t time, but energy? So, I ran this experiment: 1. 𝗜 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝘆 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘀, 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸. High-energy tasks (creative work, deep thinking) went into my peak focus hours. Low-energy tasks (emails, admin, calls) were reserved for sluggish moments. 2. 𝗜 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝗱𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀. Every time I felt mentally tired, I noted what caused it. Turns out, it wasn’t work—it was distractions, decision fatigue, and task-switching. 3. 𝗜 𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗱 ‘𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗰 𝗹𝗮𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀.’ Instead of pushing through exhaustion, I took recovery breaks: a walk, music, or even doing nothing. Surprisingly, these made me more productive, not less. 4. 𝗜 𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 ‘𝗳𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸.’ I gave myself only two slots for checking messages/emails—morning and evening. Anything urgent? People knew how to reach me. This whole exercise worked wonders for me. Later that week, I worked fewer hours but got more done. The real bottleneck isn't a lack of time—it’s how we manage our energy. Have you tried something like this? If yes, I would love to know more about it. #efficiency #timemanagement #productivity #growth

📅 Optimizing Every Hour: Resource Scheduling for Maintenance in SAP S/4HANA EAM (RSH). We've covered the what, where, and when of maintenance with master data, and explored the cycles for both corrective and preventive work. But how do you ensure you have the right people, with the right skills, at the right place, at the right time? This is where SAP Asset Management for Resource Scheduling (RSH) comes into play. RSH is a powerful, integrated solution within the SAP S/4HANA EAM landscape, designed to optimize the allocation of your maintenance workforce. It’s important to note that SAP Asset Management for Resource Scheduling (RSH) typically requires a separate license as it adds advanced capabilities beyond the core EAM functionalities.. In core S/4HANA EAM, Work Centers define capacity, and the system can do basic scheduling and capacity leveling. However, RSH takes this to an entirely new level, addressing the complexities of real-world maintenance operations. RSH acts as the intelligent bridge between the demand generated by both Corrective (PM01) and Preventive (PM02) Maintenance Orders and the available capacity of your Work Centers and individual technicians. *From Corrective Maintenance (PM01): When an urgent PM01 order is created, RSH allows planners to quickly assess the impact on the existing schedule, identify available qualified technicians, and potentially reallocate resources to address critical breakdowns with minimal disruption. Its graphical interface makes it easy to "slot in" urgent work. *From Preventive Maintenance (PM02): RSH optimizes the scheduling of a large volume of PM02 orders. It helps planners build stable, long-term schedules, ensuring PMs are completed on time without overloading technicians, balancing routine checks with more intensive annual services. It moves beyond simple due dates to precise time slotting. Key capabilities RSH brings to Work Center Utilization: -Centralized Scheduling Board: A unified, graphical interface (often Fiori-based) to visualize workload across multiple Work Centers and technicians. -Drag-and-Drop Planning: Intuitively assign, reassign, or adjust maintenance operations on a timeline. -Skills & Qualification Matching: Identify technicians with the specific skills required for a particular job, reducing rework and improving efficiency. -Geographical Planning: For field service operations, RSH can optimize routes and assignments based on technician location. -Real-time Availability: Integrates with HR master data and actual time confirmations to show real-time technician availability, including absences, training, or other commitments. -Capacity Leveling & Simulation: Proactively identify bottlenecks and simulate different scheduling scenarios to optimize resource load.

As a mom of two, running a business and conducting training sessions isn’t easy. My work time isn’t unlimited—I don’t have the luxury of sitting at my desk for hours uninterrupted. Instead, I have small but powerful time slots—especially when Madhav is asleep. That’s where time blocking became a game-changer for me. Instead of working in a scattered, reactive way, I set dedicated time slots for specific tasks: ✅ Client calls & training sessions: Fixed slots when I know I’ll have full focus. ✅ Deep work (content creation, planning): Early morning or during Madhav’s nap time. ✅ Quick tasks (emails, messages, follow-ups): Smaller windows when my energy is lower. This approach helps me stay in control, reduce distractions, and get more done in less time. Instead of feeling overwhelmed, I feel accomplished—because I know exactly what needs to be done and when. The biggest lesson? It’s not about having more time, but using the time you have wisely. If you're struggling with distractions or a packed schedule, try time blocking. It might just change the way you work. How do you manage your time effectively? Let’s share strategies. #TimeBlocking #ProductivityTips #MompreneurLife #WorkLifeBalance #FocusedWork #SmartWorking #BusyMomHacks

How to Reclaim 10 Hours in Your Week Imagine unlocking an extra 10 hours in your week without sacrificing sleep or personal time. 👉 Sounds impossible? Many business owners find themselves trapped in a cycle of endless tasks, believing that being busy equates to being productive. But without a strategic approach, busyness can lead to burnout rather than success. I recall a period when my days were consumed by back-to-back meetings, constant email notifications, and a to-do list that never seemed to shrink. It felt like I was running on a treadmill, expending energy but going nowhere. 👉 Then, I discovered time-blocking - a game-changer. By allocating specific time slots for focused work, meetings, and even breaks, I transformed my chaotic schedule into a structured plan. Mornings became dedicated to deep work, free from interruptions, while afternoons are now set aside for collaborative tasks and correspondence. 👉 However, time-blocking alone isn't the silver bullet. Prioritization is its essential counterpart. Each evening, I identify the top three tasks for the next day that aligned with my overarching goals. Tackling these tasks first thing in the morning ensured that my most critical work received the attention it deserved, setting a productive tone for the rest of the day. To implement these strategies: ✅ Audit Your Current Schedule: Identify tasks that consume time but offer little value. ✅ Set Clear Boundaries: Inform your team or clients about your focused work periods to minimize interruptions. ✅ Use Tools Wisely: Leverage digital calendars or apps to set reminders and keep your time blocks sacred. By embracing time-blocking and prioritization, you're not just managing your time - you're taking control of your business's trajectory. Reflect on your current routines. Are they propelling you toward your goals or merely keeping you busy? 📌 It's time to make a change. Your future self will thank you. --- Hi, I'm Fred Renoth, the mentor for business owners who want to build a healthy business.
