"We're moving forward with another vendor." Every rep's nightmare sentence. I pressed for details. "Their approach felt more open. We actually knew what we were buying into." That stung. I'd shared: ••• Exhaustive feature documentation ••• Dozens of success stories   ••• Complete pricing breakdowns Where'd I go wrong? Days later, I got access to our competitor's sales process. The difference hit instantly: They didn't preach transparency. They lived it. Their follow-up wasn't an email avalanche. It was one collaborative hub where buyers could: ••• Monitor which stakeholders engaged with what ••• See their exact position in the evaluation journey ••• Find materials curated for their unique pain points ••• Manage internal distribution seamlessly My revelation: I was buried in PDFs. They were cultivating partnership. Next prospect, new approach: I built a shared workspace exposing EVERYTHING: → Which team members on our side viewed their data → Critical docs they'd missed → Realistic implementation expectations → Where we excel AND where we don't The buyer's response: "Finally, someone not playing games." Ink on paper in 10 days. Here's what's real: Today's buyers aren't starved for data. They're starved for authenticity. Yesterday's strategy: Bombard with polished assets that sidestep weaknesses. Tomorrow's strategy: Build transparent environments that tackle doubts directly. Your buyers know when something's off. Even when nothing is. Quit running sales like a shell game. Start running it like a glass house. You with me?

Five ways 𝐁𝟐𝐁 𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 can win with technology and AI in 2025. To stay on the front foot, #B2B sales leaders need to leverage technology to find the right markets while discovering, retaining, and delighting customers across all channels. A McKinsey & Company study found that companies that outperform on growth invest more aggressively in #digital transformations and AI to boost sales and marketing productivity. In my experience the most successful B2B players are investing in five growth areas: 🎯 #AI powered opportunity identification: Growth leaders in B2B sales are using AI to find new pockets of growth both within their core business and beyond. 🔧 #Personalization: Innovators are tapping into gen AI to effectively tailor their offerings and pitches in response to increasingly specialized customer pain points and needs. 💰 Value-based, AI-enabled #pricing: Companies are using technology innovations to better inform value, transitioning away from manual, static pricing and toward dynamic models that can automate prices, tailor deals to customer segments, and improve price discipline. 🚀 Digitally enabled task #automation: B2B players are using technology to improve their sales force efficiency and productivity, incorporating tools to better prioritize opportunities, speedily deliver customer value, and inform go-to-market strategies with better insights. 👲🏾 Digitally driven #talent improvement: Sales organizations are leveraging tech to more effectively assess seller performance in line with their goals while also improving performance by implementing capability-building programs. Are there other technology areas that #b2b companies should leverage to outgrow their peers?

We did 48 Forge demos with a single competitor's customers 2 weeks ago. Here's the play I shared live last week for the first time. Step 1: Find old Luma events hosted by a competitor. Step 2: Extract attendee data using Claude. Step 3: Enrich the contacts through Leadsforge - Search Engine For Leads 🏎️ Step 4: Push enriched leads into Salesforge.ai 🔥 Step 5: Run multichannel sequences. Email + LinkedIn. Step 6: Write copy that speaks directly to what's broken in the competitor's product. You know exactly what they're using, so your message is surgical. Step 7: Assign proper sending infrastructure so nothing lands in spam. Step 8: Layer on more channels. ↳ Give the list to your SDRs to call ↳ Build custom audiences for LinkedIn Ads ↳ Build custom audiences for Meta Ads ↳ Create lookalike audiences to expand reach The results: ↳ 3.1x higher reply rates than our average campaigns ↳ 1.7x higher reply rates than other competitor campaigns ↳ 48 demos booked ↳ 11 closed won already ↳ 23 still in open pipeline Why does this work so well? Because these people are already paying for a solution. They don't need to be educated on the category. They already get it. You're not convincing them they need outbound software. You're convincing them they need better outbound software. Way easier conversation. Other ways we source competitor customers: ↳ LinkedIn company followers via Leadsforge ↳ LinkedIn social listening via Jungler.ai ↳ Reddit social listening via F5bot ↳ Extracting competitor reviews If you have a better, cheaper, or faster product than your competitor, you knock on the doors of every one of their customers once a quarter. Every. Single. Quarter.

VP of Sales just told me they're "not ready for AI" in their sales process and that IT has actually blocked most of the major tools I see this a lot more than you can imagine Companies that are paralyzed by perfectionism while their market moves without them. "We need to make sure the AI understands our brand voice." "What if it makes a mistake?" "Our customers expect a personal touch." You know what customers actually expect? Fast responses and relevant solutions. AI gives you both. Their competitor isn't using AI to replace salespeople. They're using it to make salespeople better. AI handles the research. Humans handle the relationship. AI writes the first draft. Humans add the insight. AI books the meeting. Humans run the conversation. While this CTO is worried about AI being "too robotic," his competitors are having more human conversations because they're not stuck doing research and data entry all day. The window for "getting ready" closed 6 months ago. Your competition isn't waiting for you to feel comfortable. They're already implementing while you're still planning. Stop asking if you're ready for AI. Start asking if you're ready to compete without it. The answer should scare you into action. — ♻️ Repost and follow for more insights Ready to stop debating and start implementing AI in your sales process? Recently, I did a series about why salespeople don’t hit quota. One of the things that became pretty clear was this: Most sales reps don't spend much time actually selling. They’re stuck doing manual research, building lists, digging for contacts, enriching data, and jumping between tools all day. Another thing that stood out? The reps who are hitting quota are using AI effectively. Not just playing around with it, but building workflows that help them move faster, become more relevant, and spend more time in actual selling conversations. Here’s a simple use case. In this video, I walk through how I’m using Claude with Apollo.io’s MCP connector to: • Build highly targeted prospect lists • Find the right buyers inside those accounts • Enrich contact data automatically • Add prospects directly into sequences • Do in minutes what used to take hours For example, I can ask Claude to identify publishers in the U.S. that launch a certain number of books per year and are expected to release new titles over the next six months. Then Claude pulls the companies, finds the right contacts through Apollo, enriches the data, and helps move them directly into outreach workflows. Easy peasy. This is how you work smarter. This is how you become more efficient. This is how modern sellers win. https://lnkd.in/e2szEUmT #ApolloAnywhere

The Sales Revolution is Here (And It's Not What You Think) Most sales teams are stuck in 2020, treating AI like a fancy autocomplete. The reality? We're moving from copilot to autopilot. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗺: → AI agents that prospect 24/7 → Personalized outreach at scale → Automated meeting scheduling → Lead qualification while you focus on closing I've been watching this shift accelerate. The companies embracing agentic AI aren't just gaining efficiency, they're fundamentally changing how sales operate. 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲'𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜'𝗺 𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴: • 300% increase in qualified leads • 85% reduction in manual prospecting time   • Pipeline velocity that compounds daily • Sales reps focusing on relationship-building, not data entry The uncomfortable truth: If your sales process still requires manual lead research and one-by-one email drafting, you're already behind. By 2026, agentic sales systems won't be competitive, they'll be table stakes. The question isn't whether AI will transform sales. It's whether you'll lead the transformation or get left behind explaining declining numbers to stakeholders. What's your take? Are you seeing this shift in your industry? How are you preparing your sales team for the agentic future? 𝗣.𝗦. - The most successful sales leaders I know aren't afraid of AI replacing them. They're afraid of competitors who embrace it first.

We surveyed 400+ B2B companies, and found 5 things the ones DESTROYING competitors in head to head sales deals are doing differently. On average folks said they’re losing $2 to $10 Million a year from competitive deals they COULD have won IF they’re reps were better enabled (e.g., just the right talk track, differentiators, proofpoints etc. at every point in the sales cycle). But the top performers are doing much better, and they’re doing 5 things different: 💪 Harnessing AI for compete....... 82% increase We saw an amazing 76% increase in adoption of AI in the compete process in 2024. AI is analyzing large amounts of data, writing enablement content, and providing an early warning system to sales. AI-powered teams who have figured this out had a whopping 82% lift in sales effectiveness. ⏩ Faster updates for sales....... 75% increase Two years ago compete was pretty manual. It took a LONG time for sales to get the latest talk tracks and strategies. But now teams are using AI to update sales on a daily or weekly basis, and those teams reported a 75% increase in sales effectiveness compared to teams who update sales monthly. 😎 Sales exec sponsor....... 76% increase This one is simple, but 52% of companies still haven’t done it! Companies who add a sales exec sponsor to the compete program reported a 75% increase in competitive sales effectiveness. Turns out, making sure the compete program is always bending toward the needs of sales pays huge dividends over time. 💥 Conversational Intelligence....... 82% increase What are prospects actually saying to your sellers? How are your sellers responding? What are the latest objections? Did your competitor’s product launch actually land or was it just marketing smoke that prospects are ignoring? Conversational Intelligence plugged into the compete motion drove an 82% increase in sales effectiveness. But only 25% of teams have it figured out. 🎯 Dedicated compete platform....... 79% increase Yes, it’s self-serving 😅 because Crayon sells one of these. But the data don’t lie! Companies who use a compete platform as the CI layer in their GTM stack saw a 79% increase in sales effectiveness. So there’s the 5-point blueprint to go win more head-to-head competitive deals. If you want to go deeper, grab this year’s report: https://lnkd.in/eEXyJdwz

Forrester found companies that operationalize Buying Groups see 2x higher win rates and faster deal cycles. And now, AI makes it possible to do this at scale. Here’s what you need to know: The era of chasing individual leads is over. Real deals don’t come from single MQLs — they come from engaging the entire buying group. This isn’t just another marketing fad. It’s a fundamental shift in how revenue teams build pipeline in a world where the average B2B purchase involves 6–10+ stakeholders, across functions, each with different priorities. THE EVOLUTION - MQL Era: Easy to measure, but ignored that B2B buying is a team sport. - ABM Era: Focused on accounts, but treated whole organizations as monoliths — a problem when companies buy multiple products across different groups. - Buying Group Era: Precision targeting of the actual group of people making a decision, while maintaining ABM’s strategic account lens. WHY BUYING GROUPS WORK - Consensus → Win Rates: Engaging full buying groups builds alignment earlier and lifts conversion. Palo Alto Networks saw a 17% increase in closed-won rate. - Stakeholders → Velocity: Deals move faster when the right people are at the table from the start. - Strategic Conversations → Deal Size: Palo Alto also saw a 2.3x increase in deal size by engaging buying groups earlier. - Signal → Conversion: Engaging buying groups yielded a 17x improvement in opportunity conversion rates. WHY NOW - Technology finally enables it: CRMs and platforms make it easy to associate multiple stakeholders with opportunities at scale. And now AI accelerates this shift by surfacing the right stakeholders, recognizing buying signals across channels, and orchestrating engagement with the full group. - The market is unforgiving: Sales cycles are longer, deal sizes are under pressure, and boards demand precision. Forecasting pipeline off one contact is a recipe for missed targets. - Competitors are already there: Forrester’s research shows companies that adopt buying groups are already pulling ahead with 2x higher win rates. If you’re not moving, you’re falling behind. BOTTOM LINE: If your CRM opportunities still only have one contact attached, you’re running on incomplete data. Your competitors are still chasing MQLs while you’re building consensus with buying groups. That’s not just a tactical advantage — it’s a strategic moat that compounds over time. For more on moving from MQLs to Buy Groups see full blog post: https://lnkd.in/ggux_8Wk

There is a lot of research out there on how AI is transforing the workplace and especially B2B sales and a Harvard Business Review article recently caught my attention. Researchers found that sales teams using AI are spending more time in front of customers and less time on back-office work. This seems obvious or even like a small difference BUT its a meaningful one. That matches what I see on our team. Our team is leaning into AI and not using it to replace their judgment, they are using it to get out from under the prep work that used to eat their day. Research. Summaries. Admin. The stuff that kept them at their desk when they should have been with a customer. It creates something harder to measure but more important as it gives them space to actually think amd be curious about a customer's business. Show up to a conversation with a real point of view instead of just the facts. The best sales conversations I have ever been in were never about data. They were about insight, and AI doesn't replace that. It creates the conditions for it The teams that figure this out early are going to have a real advantage. #energytech #salesleadership #AI #B2Bsales #energyindustry
